#2253 Small Birdseye Maple Wooden Bowl 5 5/8" x 1 5/8"

This small birdseye hard maple wooden bowl was made from a veneer core. Veneer logs are mounted on a big lathe and very thin veneer is sheared off in sheets. When the log gets too small in diameter it is sold to people like me as a veneer “core”. It’s like an apple core. Veneer logs are very expensive because they have no flaws and are highly figured.

There are three very minor stress cracks that I repaired.

Food safe, natural, oil finish.
