This lovely wild black walnut bowl is made from a crotch burl. A crotch burl is formed in the v made when a branch grows off of the main trunk. This bowl has voids and growth ring separations. The red versus the chocolate brown (almost black) is very striking. Food safe, natural, oil finish.
